Jordan Dale Pearson entered a not guilty plea at an initial arraignment March 4 in Okfuskee County.
Pearson, a Henryetta resident, is charged with second degree murder and driving a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
Those charges stem from a fatal crash on old 62 highway west of Henryetta last October.
Pearson is accused of being the driver of a pickup that collided with a UTV killing Nicolas Alan King and Brice McGirt.
Pearson was taken to St. Francis Hospital for treatment of numerous injuries he sustained in the crash.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol accident investigation team, the truck was traveling at a high rate of speed.
Pearson is due back in court before Okfuskee County associate district judge Maxey Reilly April 15 for a pre-hearing conference.}McGirt is a Native American which means federal charges can also be filed as a result of the accident.
