Clarence Phillip (Phil) Agee died March 30, 2021, at the age of 83 after a short illness. He was born Nov. 2, 1937, in Skiatook to Benjamin C. Agee and Elsie Elizabeth (Lowry) Agee.
Phil attended high school in Kansas City, before moving back to Henryetta, where he graduated in 1956. After attending OU for a year, he married his high school sweetheart Diana Burnett. They made their home and raised their two children in Henryetta. Together they purchased, owned and operated Burnett Furniture and Burnett Hardware. Phil accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and shortly afterward was baptized and joined the First United Methodist Church in Henryetta, where he remained an active member.
Phil was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Cleo Hassell, and brothers Harvey England, Bill Agee and George Agee, and father-in-law and mother-in-law Joe and Jaunita Burnett.
He is survived by his wife of almost 64 years, Diana Agee; daughter Susi Kelch and husband Sammy; son Jody Agee; grandchildren: Phillip Agee and wife ShaVon, Kevin Agee and wife Cristina, Natalie Kerby and husband Mark, Greg Kelch, Matt Agee and wife Amanda, Christopher Kelch, Aerial Agee, and Addison Agee; great-grandchildren: Alexis and Madelynn Agee, MaKinlee and Walker Kelch, Kylar, Emme, and Ashton Agee, Ava Kerby, Mary McClenathan, Layla Bliek, and two more great-grandchildren on the way; his sister Dixie Hutchison and sister-in-law Susan Newman, whom he loved as his sister, and granddaughter-in-law Felisha Kelch, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 2, 2021 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Kyle Clark, officiating. Interment will follow at the Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
Family request that all attending please wear a mask at the funeral home and funeral service.
