Two innings in double digits in two games made quick work of the two opponents that faced the Henryetta Lady Knights Tuesday.
Playing at Checotah, Henryetta shut down Muldrow 16-2 then followed that up with a 15=2 win over Checotah.
In the Muldrow game, Henryetta scored 14 runs in the first inning then added two in the second for the win. Against Checotah, the Lady Knights led 5-0 at the end of the first then added ten runs in the second for the 15-2 victory.
In both games HHS Junior Avery Miller recorded two home runs bringing in additional runs with her.
Against Muldrow, the HHS girls chalked up 13 hits for 16 runs and 13 RBIs. Miller had five of those RBI hits while Lexi Lollis had three, Skylar Morris two with Kasedi Gobin, McKayla Greenhaw and Jaylynn Joslin each had one.
They bested that slightly with 19 hits against Checotah scoring 15 runs and 15 RBIs. Miller was responsible for six of those while Joslin, Shelby Kilhoffer and Lollis had two each. Katelyn Dwiggins, Greenhaw and Kinley Miller each had one.
Dwiggins did the pitching duties for HHS. She allowed nine hits in both games accounting for four runs.
That puts the Lady Knights at 16 wins with only four losses so far this year. They are holding down third place in the 4A ranks. Undefeated Dale is in first with 19 wins while Silo is second with 17 wins and one loss. One of the Henryetta losses was to Silo at Haskell last week.
