The Lady Knights tennis team placed 11th in the state following the tournament at Oklahoma City with the 2 doubles team of Tamra Smith and Skylar Thomas placing sixth while Katie Davis and Brooke Nash were seventh in the 1 doubles brackets.
Nash and Davis won their opening match with Kingfisher 6-1, 6-3 but lost to Seminole 6-7,6-4 and 6-3. That put them against Pauls Valley in the quest for fifth place. The girls won 6-4 and 6-3 but lost to Oklahoma Christian school 6-1, 6-0. They captured seventh with back to back 6-3 and 6-7 wins over Lincoln Christian.
Seminole again proved to be the roadblock for the HHS 2 doubles team of Smith and Thomas. They took a 6-4, 6-4 winning match against Oklahoma Bible Academy but lost 6-4,7-5 to Seminole in the second round.
Going up against Mount St. Mary, Henryetta won 6-2, 6-2 then went an extended contest to comeback from a 2-6 loss to win 6-2 and 6-4 over Pauls Valley.
The fifth place award was not to be for them as Regent Prep won 6-4 and 6-0.
In the 1 singles, Kellyn Lollis lost 6-0, 6-2 to Syd Looper from Beaver but came back to win 6-2, 6-0 against Elk City, she was knocked out of contention by Aspen Minihan from Crossings Christian 6-4 and 6-1.
Competing in 2 singles, Andrea Wade won her first set 6-3 but lost the next two 6-4 and 6-3 to Victoria Brown from Lincoln Christian.
She was able to defeat Abby Watson from Christian Heritage 6-4, 6-3 before losing 6-1, 6-1 to Harding Charter.
