As long as weather permits, Henryetta high school students will be receiving their diplomas at Cameron stadium Friday night. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremonies will be held at the high school gymnasium.
Graduation ceremonies will start at 8 p.m. Seating will be available in the bleachers on both the home and visitors sides of the field according to superintendent Dwayne Noble.
At the Monday night school board meeting, the decision was made that, if graduation is held outside, the mask mandate will be relaxed. This wishing to wear them may do so. Spectators are asked to keep every other row of bleacher seating open.
For those wishing to keep even more distance, they can bring lawn chairs and sit in the end zones.
In the event of an indoor ceremony, masks will be required and only 1,400 people will be allowed to attend.
The graduation will also be streamed live on Thehenryettan.com for anyone feels uncomfortable attending in person or who cannot make it to the ceremonies.
Seniors will participate in their baccalaureate service Wednesday, May 12 at the high school auditorium. That will start at 6:30 and the senior slide show will follow the service. It also will be streamed live.
