The Henryetta Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 539 has long honored American veterans. Likewise, the “Spirit of the American Doughboy,” or just plain Doughboy, has been a symbol of that fighting determination. This week the two are together thanks to a donation from Jeremy Roberts at the Henryetta Edward Jones office. Roberts purchased the stylized photograph of the Doughboy statue at the recent chamber banquet and donated it to the VFW Post. He, along with financial advisor Ericka Camp, presented the artwork to VFW members Bill Goodner and Hugh Jackson Thursday morning. “It belongs with the organization that honors veterans,” said Roberts.
