Fisher, a registered nurse, received the Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nurses. That award is part of the DAISY Foundation's mission to recognize the extraordinary, compassionate care nurses provide patients and families every day.A recent ER patient contacted Hillcrest and said, “Mary was outstanding! Mary was one of the best nurses I have ever had in my life. Personable, efficient, friendly, knowledgeable. She made me feel comfortable in spite of being in pain.”She was also the recipient of the Power of One award. It is given to employees who consistently perform high-quality work, go beyond normal job assignments, demonstrate a willingness to work with others, maintain a positive attitude, display exceptional dependability and volunteer to help wherever needed.
“It is an honor and privilege,” Fisher said. “Nursing is my passion and has been since a young age. I am so thankful for the opportunity to do a job that I love. I am grateful for the team of people I have at Hillcrest Hospital Henryetta and even more grateful for the patients and family members who entrust their care to us.”
