This bridge spanning a creek on Turkey Pen Road is going to have a new look in about six months.
At the recent Oklahoma Department of Transportation bid opening, the contract to replace the bridge as well as renovate the approaches was awarded to a Missouri firm.
H&H Bridge Company from Joplin received the award with a bid of $1,037,437. That was below the $1,346,552 original estimate for the work.
No date was given for the construction to start but it is expected to take 120 days to complete.
Five other contractors bid on the projects ranging from $1,518,708 to $1,226,004.
