grillingThe season for football parties, and outdoor grilling is kicking into high gear as temperaures make getting out more enjoyable. Henryetta fire chief David Bullard cautioned everyone who wants to fire up their grill to do it safely.
"We are seeing the grass and vegetation starting to go dormant and that means a smal spark can start a fire turning a party into a catastrophe," he said. Bullard urged everyone to keep their grills and firepits on a solid concrete base and make sure they havewater hoses nearby.
"It won't take much to start the grass buning and, if we have any wind at all, ithose flames will spread quickly."
