Even though the 2023 football season has not had a game played yet, the district lineups for the 224 year are already set.
The OSSAA has made a number of changes in the district pairings this past week.
Henryetta will be in 2A-1, district 3, a change from district 5 with only two teams remaining on the same schedule as this year.
The Knights will be playing Beggs, Inola, Sperry and Westville for the first time in the district matches. Only Prague and Sequoyah (Tahlequah) remain the same. All of the new teams except for Inola are in the Class 2A ranks. Inola is moving down from the Class 3A, district 4 lineup.
Other schedules under the new lineups include:
2A-1 District 4
Okmulgee, Cascia Hall, Daniel Webster, Heavener, Hugo, Idabel, Roland and Victory Christian.
2A District 4
Morris, Atoka, Antlers, Keys (Parkhill), Spiro, Valliant, Vian, Wilburton.
A-1 District 4
Okemah, Stroud, Hartshorne, Haskell, Panama, Povola, Warner, Wewoka.
Class B has been split into two with Dewar, Barnsdall, Foyil, Garber, Porum and Yale in District 3 while Weleetka, Wetumka, Savanna, Caddo, Canadian and Quinton are in District 4
Wilson Henryetta has moved up a class to the newly-created Class B-2. Other schools in that lineup are Arkoma, Cave Springs, Gans, Kota and Webbers Falls.
Graham-Dustin remains in Class C with Maysville, Bowlegs, Bray-Doyle, Fox, Midway, Paoli and Sasakwa as opponents.
