Malcomb Franklin Wainwright, a lifelong Morris resident, died Sept. 19, 2023 in Morris at the age of 90. He was born to Erna, Lena Trujillo(Huber) in Salt Lake City Utah Feb. 15, 1933. After meeting Margaret Wainwright (Wells) at The apostolic Bible school in Tulsa, Malcomb and Margaret married June 24, 1955 in Morris. They were married 68 years
For many years Margaret and Malcomb fostered over 30 children and during all that time Malcomb also worked at a grocery store in Morris,Oklahoma and then owned and ran a gas station in Morris. He then went on to work for ball brothers in Okmulgee Oklahoma.
He then spent 1979 to 1980 in the Spanish ministry work at the Landmark Tabernacle in Denver. He also did many years of Spanish missionary work alongside his wife Margaret from 1981 to 1999. He and his wife, Margaret traveled doing Spanish mission work, which included Alamosa, Colorado, Parker, Arizona and Guadalajara Mexico.
From 2000 to 2019 Malcomb had a Jail ministry along the side of other men that also worked in the ministry with him. Malcomb baptized over 400 inmates during that time. In 2020 Malcomb retired at 40 years of being a United Pentecostal minister.
He was preceded in death by parents Erna Lena Trujillo and Andrew Trujillo, brother LeRoy Rogers, sister, Lorraine Faulkner, nephew, Johnny Vester, uncle, Harry Huber, and wife, Amy, mother-in-law Juanita Vaughan, and brother-in-law, David Vaughan.
Survivors include his wife Margaret Wainwright; son Steve Wainwright and wife Sophia, Edmond; son Mark Wainwright and wife Prissy, Cane Ridge, Tennessee; grandchildren: Stephanie Martin and husband Stoney, Okmulgee, Ashley Sadeghi and husband AJ, Edmond, Maci Anderson Wainwright and husband Will Loiensville, Tennessee; great grandchildren: Remy Martin, Tripp Martin, Lakely Martin, Rigby Sadeghi, Stevie Sadeghi, Nathan Anderson Wainwright, Coraline Anderson Wainwright, Archie Anderson Wainwright; brother in law, Gerald Wells Glenpool, sister in law Sandy Edgemon and husband Rick Ft Smith, Arkansas, also by several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be, Steve Wainwright, Mark, Wainwright, Kevin, Brill, Remy, Martin,
Stoney Martin and AJ Sadeghi.
Honorary pallbearers will be, Tripp Martin, Mike Foster, Johnny Whitaker
Mike Rohatch, and Freddie Waldrep.
Viewing for Wayne will be from 4 until 8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023 at Integrity Funeral Service.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Friday, Sept. 22, 2023 at Dewar United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Matthew Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Okmulgee Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
