The Knights moved a step closer to a playoff spot when they blanked the Okemah Panthers 43-0 Friday night.
That put Henryetta with two wins and three losses in the district race. Two more games, Roland and Keys, remain in the regular season. Both are district matchups. Overall, the Knights are 4-4 for the year.
The Henryetta scoring started in the first quarter when Nick Hudson took the snap from five yards out. The conversion kick was good putting the Knights ahead 7-0 with less than 90 seconds left in the first period.
David Reid scored twice more for Henryetta with five yard and six yard runs in the second quarter followed by Brayden Chacon snagging a 20 yard pass from Brady Norman. That sent the Knights into the locker room at the half with a 29-0 lead.
The last two HHS touchdowns came in the third quarter with Will Perez getting a pass from Norman for 24 yards then getting pay dirt from six yards out.
Henryetta posted 258 yards on the ground in 32 plays while the Panthers were held to 103 yards on 46 plays.
Norman completed seven of 11 passes for 132 yards. Okemah stayed on the ground with no passing plays.
In total, the Knights had 390 yards while Okemah only had 103.
Henryetta was penalized 16 times for 170 yards while the Panthers had 13 flags thrown on them for 118 yards.
