It was on your feet, shouting, nail-biting end to the basketball season Thursday when the Knig hts lost to the Prague Red Devils 45-44.
The Knights looked like they would take a 44-43 win but Prague dropped in a two pointer with one second remaining in the game.
That final score was indicative of the way the entire game went.
Playing in the consolation bracket of the regional tournament at Prague, the Knights stayed strong in all four quarters and appeared as though it would be a Henryetta win in the closing 60 seconds.
The Knights were up 44-43 and, with 12 seconds left, Skylar Greenhaw was heading down to add another two points when a Henryetta foul turned the ball over. The Red Devils drove to the basket with a jumper failing to go in but Prague was able to get an assist for the eventual win.
It was close throughout. Prague had a 13-10 lead at the end of the first period but Henryetta would tie up the match in the second period scoring 13 points to 12 for Prague to trail 23-25 at the half. In the third quarter Henryetta picked up 12 points while holding Prague to only 10 for a 35-35 tie. It was the final frame that saw the Knights add nine points with Johnson getting a three-point field goal and pair of two pointers.
