A strong pitching game helped make the difference Monday as the Prague Red Devils took a 6-2 win over Henryetta.
Both teams were tied up at the end of the first inning but the Red Devils showed the power on the mound from then on.
Henryetta was limited to only five hits and three walks during the game. Prague pitcher Ethan Rich fanned 14 Dirtbag batters.
The first Henryetta run came in the opening inning with Will Perez slamming a double then advanced and scored on singles by Hunter Bowdler and Taylor Hamric.
Weston Wincle walked to load the bases but a fly out to center and strikeout closed that door.
Prague picked up a run in the third inning on a sacrifice fly to left then a passed ball in the fourth.
The second HHS run came with Boston Morris getting on after being hit by a pitch then scoring on a single from Joslin.
The two final Prague runs came in the fifth inning with bases loaded and back to back singles.
Bowdler started the pitching duties for Henryetta then was relieved by Morris in the fifth.
Between them they gave up six hits and eight walks while striking out two Prague batters.
Henryetta got five hits during the game. Prague’s pitcher struck out 14 Knights.
