The Henryetta high school band keeps on impressing judges. This week band members received superior ratings at the district competition and will be heading to state contest later this month at Ada. “We received a 1 in sight reading and that is a big accomplishment,” said band director Alan Montgomery. “That means the band was given a musical score they had never seen before and played it in front of the judges with only a short time to understand it. That speaks volumes about how talented our kids are.”
