A lot of faces were turned skyward Sunday night as the harvest moon went through an eclipse. Just after sunset, the moon rose large and orange over town but, within a few minutes earth's shadow started moving across it. Within an hour only a faint orange glowing disc remained. As slowly as it started, the moon began to return to it's bright, shining self once again. Anyone who slept through the heavenly treat has to wait until 2033 to see the event again. |
