The Chamber of Commerce Christmas retail committee is hosting the contest from Nov. 27 through Dec. 21.
The winning merchant will receive a 2016 chamber membership and plaque recognizing their efforts.
"With the new LED lighting capability and animations merchants can be very creative with their decorative ideas for this most joyous holiday," said chamber president Lyle Stogner.
He said merchants wanting to participate need to register with the chamber.
Voting will be conducted by a "people's choice" format. Ballots are available from participating merchants as well as the chamber office and downloaded here.{jd_file file==13}
The public can drop their votes off at the Chamber’s drop box located just outside the office at 415 West Main Street.
All nominations must be received by the Chamber no later than the close of business on December 21, 2015 and the winner will be announced in the news media and the Chamber’s social media site.
