Christmas lights add to the joy of the season and those lights were the basis for a pair of awards this week. Heath Lawson accepted the plaque honoring Rheba's Flowers as the winner of the best business Christmas lights. Chamber of Commerce president Lyle Stogner made the presentation saying this year the contest had a number of businesses showing off their decorating skills. The home of Buddy Green and his family was recognized as the December yard of the Month. Green, along with help from his father, Leroy, highlighted their favorite school and brightened up Lake Road with their efforts. They received a gift basket from First Family Federal Credit Union and a $25 gift card from henryetta Drug.
