Volunteers are height sought for the Okmulgee County Emergency Management office.
Tim Craighton, Director, said volunteers with background skills in administrative or clerical, etching, firefighting, Emergency medical Service, health care, education, law enforcement, communications and computers are wanted.
"This is something that a person who is retired or has some free time and wants to contribute to their community can play a vital role," he said. "The tasks our volunteers provide are primarily administrative and in direct support to the County's Emergency Operations Center during activations."
CEM protects communities by coordinating resources and integrating activities necessary to build, sustain and improve the capability to mitigate against, prepare for, respond to and recover from natural disasters, act of terrorism or other man-made disasters.
