It seems as though following high school graduation, there are students who seem to disappear completely.
Such a mystery surrounds the only male graduate of the Hoffman high school class of 1939.
Alvin "Sparky" Knupps was a tall, red-haired, freckle-faced student  and was well liked by his classmates and those who played basketball with him.
The only known photograph of him was the graduating class picture that included Ethel Gentry, Pearl Swinney, Helen Swinney, Nadine Peters, Alvin “Sparky” Knupps, and Teacher/Principal Delmar Russell Didlake.
Mike Martin, a former Henryetta area resident, is trying to resolve the question, "What happened to Sparky Knupps?".
In a letter to Thehenryettan, Martin said the missing graduate didn't live with his own natural family but, instead lived with a family in the Tiger Mountain area. "We don't know the name of that family and would like anyone with information to contact me," Martin said.
If anyone can help in the search, they are asked to call Martin at (559) 802-3092 or email him at: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
