Faye James Garrett, a resident of Henryetta, died March 17, 2016 in Tulsa at the age of 86. She was born May 13, 1929 in Brooken, Haskell, Okla., to Alonzo and Pearl Benton.
Faye became a member of the Nazarene Church in 1955 and seldom missed a service. She taught for many years in Sunday School from Nursery, to Kindergarten and Primary. Faye is preceded in death by her first husband Carnie James and second husband Claude Garrett, her parents, sisters: Anne Coffman and Irene Gee, niece: Doris Gilstrap.
Faye is survived by her two daughters, Linda Berno and husband Omer of Henryetta, and Sheila Rice and husband Jimmy of Henryetta; grandchildren, Shaun Berno and Melissa Connors of Henryetta, Amanda Gahm and husband Justin of Henryetta, Darrick Berno of Dewar, and Randall Rice and wife Kristi of Henryetta; great-grandchildren: Hayleigh Berno, Katlyn Berno, Cortni Harris, and Jordan Gahm; sister, Dean Conn of Oklahoma City, nieces, Donna Tosh and Debbie Snodgrass of Oklahoma City; step-sons, Ken Garrett of San Antonio, Texas, Jim Garret of Henryetta, Tom Garrett of Tehachapi, California, Wayne Garrett of Bakersfield, California, Allen Garrett of Tehachapi, California, and Danny Garrett of Tehachapi, California; step-daughters, Joyce Price of Henryetta and Pat Johnson of Glenpool; 24 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, 9 great-great grandchildren, special friend, Jimmie Ann Evans, her church family, members of the First Church of the Nazarene, Henryetta, Oklahoma,
as well as numerous other family and friends.
Viewing will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 19 and from 12 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 20 at Integrity Funeral Service.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday, March 21, 2016 at Henryetta Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
