Over four miles of pavement on US 75 is going to get repaired in the coming months.
Sen. Roger Thompson and Rep. Steve Kouplen said a nearly $1.6 million contract was awarded for the project from the SH 16 junction east of Beggs north to near the Winchester exit.
Thompson, R-Okemah, said the State Transportation Commission awarded the nearly $1.6 million contract to Iowa Erosion Control, Inc. Based in Victor, Iowa, that company was the lowest of five bidders for the job.
Once construction begins, the project is estimated to be completed within two months, according to Kouplen, D-Beggs.
