Henryetta high school band members were part of the 70 making up the Honor Band that performed this week.
The 17 HHS students joined with band members from Dewar, Morris and Okmulgee who rehearsed all day under the direction of Josh Allen from Tahlequah. Following rehearsal, they held a concert at the Brock Memorial auditorium.
"Its rewarding as a director to bring our kids to something like this and not only be successful but have them stand out and shine," said HHS band dierctor Alan Montgomery. "The students worked hard, were prepared and had the musical knowledge to adapt to the situation."
HHS band member attending included Sierra Fretz, Elizabeth Denton, Sarah Patruska, Rachel Montgomery, Kenna Najera, Bailey Davis, Zack Dickey, Jaycee Bardon, Tayler Martinez, Quinton Story, Chip Coke, Ryan Sadler, Jacob Cantrell, Joe Garcia, Damian Jones, Emily Potter and Maddie Walters.
