Rachel Thomas and Jaden Peavler were the winners of the Henryetta summer reading program drawing this past week.
The program provided elementary and middle school youngsters with an opportunity to read and earn prizes. The children had their names placed in a drawing with Thomas receiving a year’s subscription to National Geographic. She is a middle school student. Peavler was the winner of the drawing for National Geographic for Kids for the elementary grades.
A total of 115 children attended the six programs held each Monday at the civic center.
The theme this year was “Build a Better World,” and included speakers and hands-on displays.
