Norma Lee (Hobson) Jensen, a resident of Henryetta, died Dec. 19, 2017 in Tulsa at the age of 81. She was born Sept. 17, 1936 in the rural area of Culbertson, Nebraska to Orell and Ethyl Hobson.
She moved to Enid at the age of nine and attended grade school, junior high and graduated from Enid High School in 1954.
She attended one year of college at Phillips University.
Her first place of employment was Southwestern Bell Telephone company in Enid as a service representative for a period of nine years. She later accepted a job with Central National Bank as an assistant Personnel Director. She later moved to Oklahoma City and was associated in the real estate business processing home loans.
She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Morris, Oklahoma.
She was the youngest of six siblings, Orla, Robert, Dorotha, Elizabeth, Leslie and Phyllis. Five have preceded her in death. Her remaining sister is Phyllis Brammer of Lees Summit, Missouri.
She and David Jensen were married on February 14, 1987.
She is survived by her husband, David Jensen of the home; son, Michael Thrasher and wife Iwona of Aurora, Illinois; two grandchildren: Aleza and Anthony; two step children: Nancy Hindenburg of Inola, and Mark Jensen of CLaremore; five step grandchildren, and three step great grandchildren; ten nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Integrity Funeral Service.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Jim Paslay, officiating. Interment will follow at Salt Creek Cemetery in the Wilson Community, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
