Lee Roy Jones, a resident of Hitchita, died Dec. 31, 2017 in Muskogee at the age of 78. He was born June 23, 1939 in Hitchita to Lee Anderson Jones and Hazel (Lee) Jones. He married Nila Jean Collins Sept. 30, 1966 in Jenks.
Lee was a veteran serving with the United States Army. He worked for many years as a design draftsman. He attended the New Hope Community Church in Hitchita.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nila Jean Jones of the home; brother, James Pete Jones and wife Dianne of Nuyaka; nephew, Tommy Jones and wife Diane of California; great nephew, Dylan Jones of Okmulgee; also by a host of friends and other relatives.
Viewing will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, and 8 a.m. to noon Friday.
Pallbearers will be Billy Crabtree, Johnny Crabtree, Kenny Hager, and Clay Collins.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, January 5, 2018 at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Ryan Wells officiating. Interment will follow in Lackey Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
