Myrna Henry, a longtime resident of Henryetta, Jan. 2, 2018 in Henryetta at the age of 77. Myrna was born Sept. 4, 1940 in Bryant to Eddie Monroe Curtis and Bessie Caroline Hammer Curtis.
Myrna grew up in California and attended school there. In 1961, Myrna moved with her family to Guam as her husband was serving in the military. Afterwards, she returned to California and later returned to Oklahoma, moving to Henryetta in 1975. Myrna received her associates degree in business and worked most of her life as a bookkeeper. Myrna was a member of the Henryetta Ladies Auxilliary for the VFW.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Tony Guy McMahon; seven siblings, Eddie Emmett Curtis, Carl Gene Curtis, James Lee Curtis, Grandon Clae Curtis, Billy Ray Curtis, Junevelyn Davidson, and Mary Lou Sills.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Gaither and husband Dave of Henryetta; two sons: Joey Himes and Paul McMahon both of Henryetta; grandchildren: Bobby Gaither and wife Cyndi of Edmond, Brandi Gather and husband Chris of Dewar, and Adam McMahon and wife Courtney of Broken Arrow; granddaughters: Savannah McMahon, Penelope Gaither, and Maybell Gaither; sisters: Betty Parton of Henryetta and Lori Conn and husband Bill of Topeka, Kans., as well as a numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other exteneded family and many good friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Jack Vance officiated. Service and cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Integrity Funeral Service.
