Plans to hire a new Henryetta high school principal fell through Monday morning.
That position was on the agenda to be filled but the individual pulled his name from consideration Friday after the agendas were published according to school superintendent Dwayne Noble. "He would have been a good one and I'm sorry he decided not to take it." Noble said the search is still gooing on. That position came open after Dirk Walden submitted his resignation last month.
The board did hire Sammi Craig as high school English teacher, Michelle Jobes as a third grade teacher, Pam Palmer to be an elementary special education teacher and Casey Saunders for the elementary preschool teaching job.
Board members accepted resignations from Janette Dodge and Adrianne Collett. Both were para professionals.
