The brief rain failed to dampen spirits as the annual Henryetta Labor Day parade wended its way down Main Street.
Luke and Beverly Gaither were the grand marshals for the parade leading a umber of floats, bands and organizations along the way.
Following the parade, several huindred spectators, young and old, enjoyed the turtle race and frog hopping competition. Turtle race winners were madalyn Austin, first; Ryleigh Johnson, second and Trindy Greathouse, third. The hoppingest frogs were entered by Pearl martin, first; Jax Brown, second and Kaylin Johnson, third.
Once that was out of the way, the children chased koi gold fish around the pool receiving prizes for their efforts.
The civic cnter was packed as the annual democratic party luncheon was held. More dinner was being served at the Masonic Lodge as a fundraising lunch for the newly-formed Demolay chapter was served.
The annual First Family Federal Credit Union car and bike show brought out spectators who admired everything from souped up hot rods to classic touring cars.
