Mary Lee Spurling, a former resident of Henryetta, died Dec. 28, 2018 in Minneapolis, MN at the age of 75. She was born Aug. 2, 1943 in Henryetta to B.F. “Peck” and Bonnie (Griffin) Mangrum. Mary graduated from Pharoah School having been a member of the National Honor Society, a member of the Church of Christ and a member of the Red Coleman (Basketball) Allstars. She worked at Fountainhead Resort, Okie Concrete, Anchor Glass and then became a full time homemaker. She married Dean Spurling Dec. 23, 1980 in Henryetta.
She is preceded in death by her husband Dean Spurling, Parents, Grandson Kyle Hentges and nephew Chuck Kerr.
She is survived by her Children: Greg Poulton, LaQuetta Sanford and husband Gerry, Doug Spurling, Wendy Spurling, Sherri Hamaan and Vicki Spurling; four grandchildren: Dillon Poulton, Ryan Hentges, Dakota Poulton and Kiley Hicks; 18 great grandchildren; sisters: Margie Kerr, Beth Wallace and husband Tommy and Debbie Wallace.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Hentges, Gerry Sanford, Lance Hutchings, Tommy Wallace, Gary Craft, Paul Sisemore. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charles Spurling, Brad Wion, Scott Sisemore, Ian Lewis, Travis Lewis, Colt Kerr, Dillon Poulton and Jimmie Hall.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, January 4, 2019 at the Church of Christ. Interment will be in the Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Rogers Funeral Home.
