Anyone wanting to see home runs would be in heaven Monday as the Lady Knights tangled with Preston in a marathon scoring match.
A total of 18 home runs by both teams made up the 30-22 game but Henryetta was on the low side of the tally.
Preston started the series off in the first inning with a two run homer but Avery Miller tied it up with a two run to center.
Lauren lee put Henryetta ahead in the third when she parked the ball scoring Kasedi Gobin. The Lady Pirates replied in the fourth with 11 runs including two homers and a flurry of RBIs.
With the score at Preston 11, Henryetta 4, the Lady Knights narrowed the gap with eight runs courtesy of a solo homer by Autumn Blackbear, two run homer by Lee, a solo home run by Miller and RBI hits by Lexi Lollis and Jaylyn Joslin.
Henryetta added five runs in the next frame to tie up the match at 13 all on a Pirate error, double bag hit by Joslin good for two runs and a single by Miller for two more runs.
Preston would seal the win with 17 runs in the sixth inning highlighted by two grand slam home runs, five solos and four more runs on walks and a single.
A two run homer by Huleah Wincle backed up with a two run homer by Madelyn Blackbear and solo homer by Kaylie Hamric boosted the Henryetta tally but was not enough for the win.
