Alvin Jules Yancey, a resident of Schulter, died Aug. 29, 2019 in Tulsa at the age of 89. He was born Nov. 16, 1929 in Schulter to Frank Asbury Yancey and Flora Sylvia (Caumiant) Yancey.
Alvin was preceded in death by his parents, by one son, Alvin Eugene Yancey and by his sister, Alice Osmond.
He is survived by his wife Yannah Yancey of the home; son, Wade Yancey and wife Ita of Miami, Okla.; grandchildren: Melissa Nesbit and husband Heath of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Melanie Gadbury and husband Mike of Hobbs, New Mexico, Cyle Vasquez and wife Madison of Cowetaand Wade Cole Yancey and wife Terrie of Joplin, Missouri; great grandchildren: Tayler Nesbit, Jaiden Nesbit, and Riley Nesbit, Landon Kinney, Hailey Gadbury, Layton Gadbury, Logan Wilcox, and Elliot Kail Vasquez; one great-great grandchild, Audrey Wilcox; niece, Becky Hold and husband Denny of Henryetta; nephew, Mickey Osmond and wife Marion of Henryetta; as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019 at Integrity Funeral Service.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2019 at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Tracy Hoskins, officiating. Interment will follow at Okmulgee Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service in Henryetta.
