Floyd Douglas Fowler, Jr., age 78, died Sept. 26, 2020 at his home in Seminole. He was born April 12, 1942 in Henryetta to Floyd Douglas Fowler, Sr. and Dorothy D. (Turner) Fowler. He grew up in the Salem community near Henryetta and moved to Seminole in 1978. He married Babette (Scott) Fowler April 28, 1979 in Seminole, Oklahoma.
Floyd worked as an insurance agent for American General for over 30 years. His last job was at O’Reilly’s Auto Parts.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Babette Fowler; sons: Steven Fowler and his wife Deanna of Tulsa, Ronald Scott and his wife Charmaine of Eufaula, Carlton Scott of Seminole and Thomas Scott and his wife Catrina of Seminole; daughters: Cindy Fowler Watson from Glenpool and Christine Poinsett and her husband Jim of McLoud; brothers: James and Karen Fowler of Plano, Tex., John and Sherry Fowler of Pauls Valley and Michael and Kathi Fowler of Arlington, Tex.; sisters: Mary Yandell of Ft. Worth, Tex., Barbara Farley of Henryetta, Katherine and Bill Palmeter of Shawnee, Ann Storts of Bristow and sister-in-law; Carole Fowler of Plano;, 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son; Doug Fowler and brother; Donald Fowler.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 3, 2020 at the Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel, 1001 N. Milt Phillips Avenue, Seminole. Pastor Robert Fowler will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery, north of Seminole.
