Oscar Pigeon, longtime Hanna resident, died Oct. 1, 2020 in Hanna at the age of 78. He was born Dec. 27, 1941 in Hanna to Robert and Velma (Judy) Pigeon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Linda Polson Pigeon, five brothers, Tuffie, William, Boston, David, Sonny, and one grandson Ace Gray.
Oscar is survived by his son JR Pigeon of Locust Grove; three sisters: Esther Gray of Pryor, Stella Pigeon of Hanna and Lela Goodman of Dustin; four brothers: Paul Pigeon of Ada, Bobby Pigeon of Norman, Dennis Pigeon of Dustin and Adam Pigeon of Siloam Springs, Ark.; three grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; two aunts, Nellie Kincade of Wetumka, and Lena Pigeon Proctor of Dustin; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Paul Pigeon, Bobby Pigeon, Adam Pigeon, Adam Pigeon, Johnny Goodman, Blade Goodman, and Speedy Harley.
Honorary Pallbearers include Josh Gray and Charles Proctor.
A wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday Oct. 8, 2020 at Hickory Ground #1 church.
A funeral Service will be held at 1 [.m. Oct. 9 at Hickory Ground #1 church with Reverend Mitchell Taylor and Wallace Gambler officiating. Interment will follow to Dustin Cemetery.
