Henryetta’s fourth and fifth graders are breaking ground with their musical this year.
The performance of “High School Musical JR.,” is going to be a video presentation due to the COVID pandemic.
According to elementary music teacher Rachael Bourn, students will be video recording the musical then it will be presented March 12, 13 and 14. She said some 100 students are participating in the hour-long event.
“Even through this unprecedented and unpredictable school year, these kids have shown resilience and dedication, not to mention so much talent and hard work. They have been a great example to their peers and their community. This is going to be a fantastic show,” Bourn said.
The performances will not be live but recorded then presented at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. March 12, 6 p.m. March 13 and 2 p.m. March 14.
