Sharon A. Garrett, a resident of Enid, died Aug. 10, 2021 in Enid at the age of 77. She was born Sept. 12, 1943 in Henryetta to Jay Summers and Naomi (Martin) Summers. While living in Henryetta she was a member of the 7th Street Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Sharon worked for many years as a secretary-bookkeeper for Cimmarron Gas, and later as human resources director at Golden Pony Casino for the Thlopthlocco Tribal Town.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill Garrett, Bambi Sams, one brother, Bob Summers.
She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Brooks and husband Kenneth of Enid and Cindy Fuerstenau and husband Jeff of Enid; six grandchildren: Leah Settles and husband Dustin,, Shelli Markcum, Trevor Dunnagan and wife Amanda, Brook McCune and husband Kris, Andrew Barbosa, Crystale White, Nick Fuerstenau and wife Kelly; 16 great grandchildren: Hunter, Garrett, Michael, Lucas, Phoenix, Aspen, Isaac, Isaiah, Bella, Cam, Kennedy, Ezra, Ivie, Gaven, Lydia, and Clint; also by a host of friends and other relatives.
Viewing will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Integrity Funeral Service.
Pallbearers will be, Kenneth Brooks, Trevor Dunnagan, Andrew Barbosa, Kris McCune, Nick Tuerstenau, and Bob Summers.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021 at Dewar First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
