Christmas morning is going to be more joyful for a number of area youngsters thanks to the efforts of the Henryetta Lions Club.
The annual Christmas basket program provides the toys and food for dinners courtesy of a number of donations including the bell ringing program at the Henryetta Walmart.
Club members and volunteers gathered at the First United Methodist church Thursday evening to wap the presents then fill up food boxes that will be given out Monday evening. The club takes applications for the program in November then starts loading up on the amount of food that will be going out. thi sis a continuation of the program the Henryetta club started some 70 years ago.
