Christine Lynn King, Okmulgee, died June 21, 2023 in Okmulgee at the age of 53. She was born Dec. 14, 1969, in Tahlequah, the of Wilson and Wanda King.
Christine was an employee of the Creek Nation Indian Health Clinic, where she worked as a medical assistant. Christine's educational journey began at Ryal and Graham schools, and she later attended Bacone College, where she furthered her knowledge and skills in the medical field. On January 22, 2022, Christine married Charlie Hicks.
Christine is preceded in death by: her parents, Wanda (West) and Wilson Gene King, two brothers, Wilson Lee King Jr., Bobby Gene King and brother-in-law Frank Bemore.
Christine is survived by her devoted husband, Charlie Hicks; three children: Trenton Barnoski and wife Shasta of Okmulgee, Creighton Barnoski and Helea Factor of Okmulgee, and Byron Barnoski of Henryetta; siblings, Linda Bemore of Okmulgee, JoAnn Harjo and Steve Wind of Okmulgee, Allen King of Okmulgee, Dewayne King of Morris, Lisa Sands and husband Clifford of Okemah, Jimmy King and wife Dana of Weleetka; sister-in-law Karen King; 11 grandchildren; nephew Sotty King, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Viewing is scheduled from 3 to 4 p.m. Monday June 26, 2023 at Integrity Funeral Service.
Wake Service is scheduled for 7: p.m. Monday, June 26, 2023 at Hutche Chuppa Indian Baptist Church, Graham Community
Funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Hutche Chuppa Indian Baptist Church, near the Graham Community. Interment will follow the service at Hutche Chuppa Indian Baptist Church Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Allen King, Clifford Sands, Rodney James, Steve Wind, Matthew King, Scott King and Merle Keesee. Honorary pallbearers will be Corey King, Esaiah King, Devin Sands, Aiden King, Clifton Sands, Markell Fields, Zayde Sands, Landen Lee, Travis King, Austin James and Tyler Spier.
