Henryetta residents who usually go to the end of South Fourth Street are going to have to find a new route in the coming weeks.
At the council meeting Tuesday, city manager Ron Casey said the street is going to be closed at Clegern to put in a new tin horn as well as safety rails.
He said the rails are needed to replace old, rusted pipes that have been marking the side of the bridge for several decades. One of those rails has collapsed making it a danger for motorists.
Casey said work is expected to take about four days to complete but was unable to give a starting date.
