Only a few finishing touches are needed before the playground at East Main and Lake Road is completely finished.
Work was stopped for over a month while crews were waiting on replacement parts. Once those parts arrived, the entire facility was completed within a week. That work included spreading colored mulch around the playing surface. Still ahead is some lighting and a fence between the site and the railroad. 
The playground with a railroad theme is surrounded by a vinyl-coated six-foot fence and already children have been playing on it.
