Henryetta Rotary club members are expecting their disc golf tournament March 2 to be the best test.
Shannon Friar, who chairs the tournament, said the tournament at the Nichols Park course will be sanctioned by the professional disc golf association. It is expected to provide $1,000 as an added cash purse for the professional players.Registration is $85 for professionals, $65 for amateurs and $10 for beginners.
Amateurs who sign up by Feb. 23, will be eligible for $75 worth of player packs. If they miss that deadline, amateurs can still sign up the day of the tournament.
“We welcome everyone to participate. This is going to be a day-long family event,” said Friar.
