In the early morning hours Wednesday, over 100 Henryetta students continued a tradition that has been a part of school life for over a decade. The students joined with their counterparts across the nation for See You at the Pole to pray for their school, friends, families, churches and communities. |

The annual event started by a small group of teenagers in Texas in 1990. Not knowing exactly what to do, they went to the school flagpoles and prayed for their friends, schools, and leaders. | |
Since then, See You at the Pole has spread across America and around the world. In Henryetta, churches join in the effort supplying not only the students who sing and pray with their peers but make south equipment and refreshments available. |
